The programme procedure

Timetable

A typical timetable for preparing for a bachelors’s programme in Germany consists of about 36 hours of training per week; language as well as subject-related classes. We will design your schedule with respect to your choosen study programme and the admission requirements of your chosen university. You will receive intensive training in German, English, Mathematics and Physics; the weighting will depend on the demands of your prospective study programme.

The final examinations mark completion of the German International College

We will get you up to speed and ready to study in Germany! Our university preparation programme provides young people with the chance to study at a German university. At the end of our preparation programme, you will sit final examinations:

TestDaF German language examination
University entrance examination
other examinations, as needed.

Prior to embarking upon a degree programme in Germany, some universities require you to take part in a pre-study internship. We can arrange a technical internship with one of our partners for you to fulfill that requirement.

Internship

As our preparation programme continues, we will ensure that all our future engineering students are offered an internship on a full-time basis. These internships are designed to teach you basic manufacturing, production, installation and occupational safety skills. At the end of your internship, you will receive a certificate confirming that you have completed the internship which you can then submit to the university of your choice for acceptance. You will also prepare a report on your internship to be presented to the respective university for examination. We will help you with your preparations and in acquiring your work clothes.

A powerful network

We place great emphasis on maintaining a strong network with educational institutions whose goal it is to prepare young people for a career in the industry or skilled trade sector. We organise our internships hand-in-hand with the Kisters-Stiftung foundation in Bedburg-Hau and the Theodor-Brauer-Haus institute. When it comes to advanced training facilities, both institutions have an excellent reputation and offer workshops equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Our cooperation partners

The Kisters-Stiftung gemeinnützige GmbH für Aus- und Weiterbildung foundation for advanced education is a privately-owned institution that operates a vocational programme in conjunction with a range of industrial and skilled trade businesses and which uses foundation funds to finance all the required investments and subsidise ongoing training costs. The Theodor-Brauer-Haus institute in Kleve focuses mainly on vocational preparation and advanced training measures.
